Walks and Maps
The Commons have more than twenty miles of footpaths.
Many of the paths have wonderful names from the descriptive Slidy Rock, to the mysterious Barmaid's.
The paths are of varying levels of ruggedness from tarmaced and suitable for wheelchairs to others which are stoney and need to be navigated with care.
We only have one walk available for download at the moment but hope to add more over the coming months. Any contributions from walkers interested in the area would be very welcome.

CyclingBecause of the sensitive environmental nature of the area, cycling is not allowed on the Commons. However, the Tarka Cycle Trail is close by and bikes can be hired at The Old Railway Station in Torrington, beside the trail.
HorsesRiding is allowed on some parts of the Commons but not on any of the paths. Please check with the Conservators before bringing horses onto the Commons.
Vehicles and CampingVehicles are not allowed on the Commons with the exception of permitted access for some residents and a controlled parking area on the Old Bowling Green.
Overnights stays are not permitted in the carparks and camping is not allowed anywhere on the Commons. There is parking in South Street Car Park and Barley Grove Car Park, both of which are right next to the Commons
